A few quick notes. We lost another potential Christmas release for this year with Garth Brooks announcing that his set of holiday duets with Trisha Yearwood won't be finished in time for this Christmas (and, apparently, Garth lost a lot of material when his smart phone died; kids, always back up your data). Those who missed out on last year's seasonal album from The Smoke Fairies, "Wild Winter", can pick it up this year (on November 20) as the Rough Trade exclusive gets the wide release treatment. Fans of "Light" music--what we used to call "Easy Listening" (EZ, for short)--might want to know that the UK's Guild label has a third collection coming October 15. It will reach Amazon at some point but, if you don't want to wait, Guild has a fabulous mail order department and the price works out to be about the same as it will be buying it from Amazon.
And, naturally, this web site still isn't working properly since they instituted their "improvements" (I basically have to do everything new at least three times and hope I don't lose the formatting on the stuff that was already done long before). These changes usually settle in a few months down the road, but I wish they'd institute their "improvements" in the spring or summer, instead of always doing them just when its getting hot and heavy around here.
