Jess' Pop Country style reminds me some of Shania Twain (albeit with a slightly higher register and a wider vocal range), so there's plenty of crossover potential here.
Jess is clearly enamored with the Yuletide season and has spoken in the past of her desire to record a Christmas album. It looks like the time has finally come. She's previously released three holiday singles. there's a 2011 cover of Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas Is You", a 2014 version of "O Holy Night" featuring the Lovelocks (above), and a 2012 original "Thank God For Christmas" (below). Of the three, I find "Thank God For Christmas" the most satisfying. No offense to anybody, but I have very high personal standards for "O Holy Night" and the Carey cover might be fun, but doesn't really bring anything new to the song, IMO. Fortunately, she left the Carey cover off "A Small Town Christmas" while the other two singles are included as bonus tracks.
"A Small Town Christmas" by Jess Moskaluke officially releases in Canada on October 5 and comes to Amazon as an import a week later.
