Always looking for something different than your usual fare and this certainly fits the bill.
Medicine Show Music is a company that was formed to help promote, support and distribute music from the hard touring Roots and Americana artists in the UK. Not everything on here is brand new (though much of it is), but what ain't new is classic. Charlie Roth's "Christmas At The Fallen Angel Lounge" has been a personal favorite for a few years now. And Brigid Kaelin's yodel-lific "Blue Dreidel No. 9" is a Hanukkah essential, in my book. Other highlights include Beth Wimmer's "Peace At Christmas", and a little Roadhouse Blues from Dougie Burns, "I Can't Get Home For Christmas". Another highlight is also a late addition, "A Christmas Love" from The Kitty Black Band (when I downloaded this a couple of days ago, she wasn't on it, so we all need to go back and get that beauty of a tune). Throw in some ethereal Folk from Dark Green Tree, Dick LeMaster's tears in your pretzels "Christmas Cheer", Kevin Dooley's terrific "Top Of The Tree", and TWO Christmas favorites done up by Stephanie Urbina Jones and you've got a wicked recipe for a great Christmas drink that packs a solid holiday punch.
