From Australia comes Jazz singer Andy James, who spent the first half of her professional career as a world-class Flamenco dancer. Jazz singing is Act Two of Andy's showbiz story. Andy was recording in Capitol Records famed Studio A in October and tickling the very same ivories of the very same Steinway that Nat King Cole had played on the very first recording of "The Christmas Song". Given those surroundings, what girl (or guy) wouldn't suddenly be moved by the holiday spirit? So Andy recorded a pair of Christmas songs which she has graciously made available for streaming and download through Noisetrade. "The Christmas Song" is fairly faithful to the original while "White Christmas" is Lounge perfect. Tips are, of course, appreciated, but all you'll really need is your email address.
