Now you know its Christmas time. Every year about this time, Santa Claus pops in for a visit with the latest present from the artist known as Sleeping At Last (actually Ryan O'Neal with a rotating cast in support). It's always beautiful stuff...the kind of music that will put a twinkle in your eye and dreams of sugarplums in your head. Other groups or artists have done the annual Christmas single thing, but Sleeping At Last has been at this since 2004. It seems odd to say this but, at this point, he's almost a throwback to an earlier, simpler time.
This year's addition to the "Christmas Collection" is "When We're Together", a tune that comes from "Olaf's Frozen Adventure" (a Disney short spun off from "Frozen"). You can purchase "When We're Together" on iTunes. Or you can download the entire "Christmas Collection" (now up to 19 tracks of snowy goodness) from Noisetrade for the price of your email (Tips are always welcome and 100% will go to the charity organization Love Does). Unfortunately, Noisetrade doesn't allow for embeds anymore (or I'm just too stupid to figure it out), so you'll have to go there to hear it.
And, if you happen to want something a little more permanent and tangible, Sleeping At Last last year released the collection (through 2017) on CD and double-LP. Obviously, those physical formats aren't free but, as someone who once lost the Sleeping At Last mp3s and much more to a computer crash, I can honestly testify that there are certainly good reasons to consider buying the hard copy. Because Christmas just wouldn't be Christmas without Sleeping At Last.
