Went to bed early last night, woke up to a winter wonderland. Got nearly half a foot and could get another 4 inches. Now people up north might say, "So what?" but we just don't get this kind of weather in the south very often. Anyway, is very cool. As is this video from Arie Klaassen. He's from Holland and, so far as I know, there are no records. Just videos. This is his latest. "Please Come Home For Christmas".

Wanted to throw together a little something special for you--a Christmas present. This is a collection of some of the free stuff we've pointed you to this year. I started out to do a kind of "Best Of The Freebies", but I was at 198 minutes and growing. So I just started out with one song and let the collection create itself. Whittled it down to 78 minutes, so you can download the set and burn yourself a little CD-R, if you'd like. Artwork included. I'll be killing the link shortly after New Year's, OK? I'm actually pretty happy with how it turned out, though I'd have liked a little more time to work on the volume levels. Anyway, [link killed 1/2/11] and here's the playlist:
They're talking serious snow for my North Carolina this afternoon and tonight. Maybe half a foot. A White Christmas in North Carolina? That never happens. So I'm settling in (For a long winter's nap? I wish!). I'll be around, but today will likely be a slow one here. So, if you've got nothing else going on, download our little Christmas present, here, and have yourself a Stubby little Christmas. Everything you need is in the zip file. Mrs. Katz (not her real name) says "Meow y'all". Hey, by the way, thanks for spending a part of your holiday season over here. I really do appreciate it. Not that I'm closing up shop. Heck, it's not even New Year's. Just...thank you for stopping by. MERRY CHRISTMAS! Wanted to get one more video in here before the big reveal.
I meant to post this one last night and just forgot. But I think it's wonderful. Cheers and kudos to Denys Lord, who does all the pickin' and singin' here. This is from the free download "A Cigar Box Nation Christmas 2009" (scroll down). Well, the music is anyway. You only get the reading on the video. How ya doin'? Hangin' in there? Don't forget Jon Solomon's on the air at WPRB right now. Merry Christmas from Stubby's House to your house. Merry Christmas and God bless us, everyone. "Christmas Eve" is from a 2004 EP, but you can find it on the 2006 Blackmore's Night CD "Winter Carols".
Here's a Christmas card from Country duo Joey + Rory. "Blue Christmas" will be included in their full-length Christmas album to be released next year. Not my favorite song, but I already think this is my favorite version.
