"50 Words For Snow", Kate's second album on her own Fish People label, will hit the figurative store shelves on November 21, but unfortunately not on this side of the Atlantic (or so it seems as of this writing). Pre-orders are currently being taken through HMV and Play UK. The rest of us will have to hunt down a copy on the Import market.

My favorite, however, has to be the borderline bizarre, yet somehow wonderful, aural experience that is 1980's "December Will Be Magic Again", available on any number of collections including "The Edge Of Christmas" and "Elton John's Christmas Party". Don't be surprised if "December Will Be Magic Again" turns up on the Essentials page someday; I love the song that much.
"December Will Be Magic Again" actually made its world debut a year before the single's release as part of 1979's "Kate Bush Christmas Special", another oddity of the season that's worth tracking down if you get the chance. You can find the version of "December" from the 1979 special on YouTube, but I'm going to opt, here, for the MTVish vid--because there just is nothing in the world like it.
