Missy Katz says: "THIS SUCKS!" I haven't been out, but I'm certain where I am didn't get hit nearly as hard as the cities you see on the news. But New Bern is not a long drive from here. I just look out the window and watch the rain, which just goes on and on and on and on. OK, I got the point after the first 12 hours. It's been well over 30 hours, now, and they say it'll continue here well into Saturday--maybe longer. Missy Katz is not a fan, either.
The water level in our parking lot rises. Nothing threatening, yet, and I don't expect it to be...here. And, no, I'm not in an area where evacuation was ordered or even suggested. But it JUST. KEEPS. RAINING.
My prayers to all those who got it worse. I'm fine. Still got power, plenty of food and water, and some free Christmas music to write about when I get to it. But it JUST. KEEPS. RAINING.
For whatever reason, we lost the local ABC channel earlier today and it isn't back yet. So I'm just gonna watch this brief clip of coverage. You can join me or not. Peace.
