We've now got the official cover art and track list for "A Swingin' Little Christmas", the Jane Lynch album that drops November 16 (or possibly November 11). As if that wasn't good enough news, we also got another track from the album. And it's another timeless gem. Jane has officially worked her way to the top of my "Must Have" Christmas album list for 2016. "Winter's Never Cold (When You're Around)" is another Tony Guerrero original. We also just got in the details of the coming holiday record from Keith Harkin, who many know from his work with Celtic Thunder. Keith's solo Christmas set is "Nollaig" and it arrives November 11. If you order from Keith, himself, before November 11, your copy will be autographed. And if you order from Keith by November 4, you should have it in your hands on the day of the hard copy release. The digital version will be up on iTunes and Amazon on November 4. When you order from Keith, make sure the "Quantity" is set where you want it as the default setting is 3 copies. And it's the top "Quantity" button you'll need to change. The default on the second one is 1 but, if you change neither, that's 1 package of 3. You get me? Too bad we don't have any audio yet.

If a cappella is your bag, we've got another release to tell you about. This one is from Peter Hollens who is one of those artists who built his fan base via YouTube. "A Hollens Family Christmas" will be released October 28. The guest list for the record is a strong one that includes Jackie Evancho, Home Free, Mike Thopkins, and Peter's wife Evynne. The video below is not from the Christmas set, though he talks about the Christmas album at the end. The song is a cover of Justin Timberlake's "Can't Stop The Feeling" and will give you the gist of Peter Hollens, if you aren't already familiar.

Got a new Christmas album in the pipeline from Chris Rupp. Chris was the founder of the a cappella group Home Free. He decided he wanted to do some solo work that was not quite so instrument free and departed the band earlier this year. His first solo release was "Shine", which was very much a Pop album (with a little Country seasoning). "A Little Bit of Christmas" is due to be released November 2. And, while Chris might not be with Home Free anymore, he still has enough sway with the group to get them to make a guest appearance on the new record. You can pre-order from Chris' web store. If you figure you might need some extra gifts this year, Chris even has a great deal for you. 10 will get you 1, but 20 will get you 5 (that's just $4 a CD!)

And, finally today, it's worth noting that both Kim Wilde and Kylie Minogue are releasing expanded "Deluxe" versions of their past Christmas releases. Kylie's drops first--October 28 I believe--and I haven't got any idea what the new stuff is. Yeah, I could probably figure it out with more googling, but its late and I'm tired.
Kim Wilde, on the other hand...we know exactly what she's added to her 2013 release. 6 new tracks including two new original songs and a bonus DVD. Pre-order Kim's expanded "Wilde Winter Songbook" through Pledge Music. One bit of warning on the DVD. I do not understand the region codes on DVDs. I know that the U.S. is Region 1. And I hear that Region 0 is supposed to play anywhere. The DVD in this set is Region 0. That's (I think) a good thing. But its also PAL while the U.S. is NTSC. And, again, I hear that PAL players are OK with NTSC, but NTSC players may not be fine with PAL. Like I say, this stuff loses me immediately. But don't be afraid to ask your 12 year old; I'm sure he'll have a better handle on it than I.
