The album is slated to be 14 tracks long. Colbie's written at least three new songs for the album--"Everyday It's Christmas", "Happy Christmas", and the title cut. Standards to which she's given her special super sunny touch include "Silver Bells", "Baby It's Cold Outside", "Santa Baby", and "Auld Lang Syne" (Colbie's personal favorite on the record). Also included will be Colbie's cover of the Beach Boys' "Merry Christmas Baby", not previously released but recorded in 2009 in case a charity effort were to spring up unexpectedly while she was otherwise too busy to contribute.
For her next project, Colbie is hoping to do an acoustic EP, or at least something "more stripped-down and raw."
Hopefully, we'll get a release date for "Christmas In The Sand" and, perhaps, some cover art before too long and we'll certainly pass that along to you when we do.
