Britain's all female Pop Metal band JOANovARC team up with Johnny Altman (who plays bad boy "Nasty" Nick Cotton on the British soap Eastenders) on a Christmas version of Iggy Pop's "Real Wild Child (Wild One)". Now, when I read of this news last week, my head started to hurt. What could possibly go wrong? As it happens, nothing. I like it. I really really like it. Never mind the O.F., forget that its clinging to its Christmas ties by a thread. Those chicks ROCK! And its Christmas frivolity and fun, just like the (wild) ones we used to know. They were certainly enjoying it.
"Wild One" won't debut at Amazon until Sunday (Nov. 30), for some reason. But the song is already considered one of the favorites in the annual race to "Christmas Number One" (along with the new Band Aid single and whatever those X Factor idiots put out).
