It's been less than two months since I told you about the album I'm most excited about this Christmas. No, not the Reel Big Fish, although that'll be cool, too. No, I'm talking about Kat Tingey.
There are some voices that (no pun intended) just strike a chord in your soul. There are many such voices I've come to love through the years. Jim Croce had one. Jillaine has one. Billie Holiday, Joe Williams, Janis Joplin, Mindy Gledhill. Yes, it seems my affections are running all over the musical landscape. But there's nothing like new love. That voice you're hearing for the first time. It makes you feel young and alive. Oh, to be young again. And rich and handsome for the first time. That'd be awesome.
Sigh. So, anyway, Kat Tingey is my latest voice crush--my latest love. Her Christmas album is "Ring Out Wild Bells" and she's set the release date as October 4. And we've got cover art! AND....we've got song clips! Yipee!!!! You didn't tell me there'd be song clips. You're driving me crazy over here.
